Kukie.io uses Stripe for all billing and payments. Your subscription is tied to your organisation, not your personal account - so each organisation can have its own plan.
Viewing Your Current Plan
Go to Settings → Billing to see your current subscription status. The "Your Subscription" section at the top shows:
- Plan name and status (Active, Trialing, Cancelled, Past Due).
- Next billing date and amount.
- Current billing cycle (monthly or yearly).
- Payment method on file.
Upgrading and Downgrading
Scroll to the Available Plans section to see all plans. Click Upgrade or Downgrade on the plan you want.
- Upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep your current plan's features until then.
Switching Billing Cycle
You can switch between monthly and yearly billing at any time. Click Switch to Yearly (or Monthly) in the subscription section. Yearly plans include a discount compared to paying monthly.
Free Trial
Some plans offer a free trial period (typically 14 days). During the trial:
- You have full access to the plan's features.
- Your card is collected during checkout but not charged until the trial ends.
- A trial banner appears in the dashboard showing days remaining.
- You receive a reminder email 3 days before the trial ends.
If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged. The cancellation takes effect immediately for trial subscriptions.
Cancelling Your Subscription
Click Cancel Subscription in the subscription section. A confirmation dialog explains what happens:
- Paid subscriptions - cancelled at the end of the billing period (grace period). You keep features until then and can resume at any time.
- Trial subscriptions - cancelled immediately with no charge.
After cancellation, your organisation downgrades to the Free plan. Sites continue working, but premium features (custom CSS, scheduled scans, branding removal) become unavailable.
Stripe Customer Portal
For detailed billing management, click Manage Billing Details or View Invoices to open the Stripe Customer Portal. There you can:
- View and download invoices.
- Update your payment method.
- View billing history.
VAT Notice
All prices displayed exclude VAT. The applicable VAT rate is calculated at checkout based on your billing address and added to the total. VAT details appear on your Stripe invoices.
