Use an AI key for Muse and automations

Agency plan

Available on the Agency plan

This feature is included in the Agency plan and the plans above it. See pricing

Apps and automations that cannot sign in with OAuth, such as Muse, an n8n workflow or your own script, connect with an AI key. A key acts as you, with your role and site access, and with the access and sites you choose when you create it.

The AI Connector is included on the Agency and Unlimited plans. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.

Create an AI key

  1. Open the AI Connector page in your Kukie.io account.
  2. Under Your connections and keys, select Create AI key.
  3. Enter a Name you will recognise later, such as Muse or Weekly report.
  4. Choose the Access: Read only, or Read and make changes.
  5. Choose the Sites: All sites you can open, or Only the sites you choose.
  6. Choose when it Expires after: 30 days, 90 days, 180 days or 1 year (90 days by default).
  7. For a key that can make changes, enter your Password.
  8. Select Create key and copy the key. Kukie.io shows it only once.

Keep the key secret, like a password. You can have up to 20 active keys in each organisation. Kukie.io emails you whenever a key is created on your account.

Use the key

Give the app the MCP server address and send the key in the Authorization header:

URL: https://app.kukie.io/mcp
Authorization: Bearer kk_ai_YOUR_KEY
  • n8n: in the MCP Client Tool node, enter the MCP server address, choose Bearer as the authentication and paste the key as its token.
  • Muse and other AI apps: each app names these fields differently. Look for a place to add an MCP server or a custom connector by its address, and a bearer token or an Authorization header for the key. Enter the key only in a field meant for credentials, never in a chat message.
  • Your own script: use an MCP client library, point it at the MCP server address and send the header above with every request.

A change made with a key still needs a preview first, but nobody is asked before an automation applies it. Use a read-only key for anything that runs without a person watching.

Revoke a key

  1. Open the AI Connector page.
  2. Under Your connections and keys, select Revoke key next to the key.

Anything using the key stops working at once, and you cannot undo this. Create a new key if you need one. A key also stops working when it expires, when it has not been used for 90 days, when you leave the organisation, change your password or turn off two-factor authentication, and when an owner or admin turns the organisation's AI access off.
