Organisations & Team Management

Last updated Mar 24, 2026

Organisations are the top-level container in Kukie.io. Each organisation has its own sites, billing, and team members. You can create multiple organisations to separate different clients, projects, or business units.

Creating Organisations

Go to the Organisations page in the dashboard and click Create Organisation. Enter a name for the organisation. You will be set as the owner automatically.

Organisation Limits

The number of organisations you can create is controlled by a global setting. When you reach the limit, new organisations must be on a paid plan. If you only have free organisations, you will be prompted to upgrade one of them before creating another.

Team Roles

Kukie.io has three team roles with different permission levels:

Inviting Team Members

Go to the Team page and click Invite Member. Enter the person's email address and select their role (Admin or Editor). They will receive an email invitation with a link to join your organisation.

The number of team members is limited by your plan's max_members setting. When you reach the limit, you will need to upgrade your plan or remove existing members before inviting new ones.

Transferring Organisation Ownership

To transfer ownership of an organisation to another team member:

  1. Go to the Organisations page.
  2. Click the organisation you want to transfer.
  3. Click Transfer Ownership and select the new owner from your existing team members.
  4. Type "transfer" to confirm.

The previous owner becomes an Admin. Both parties receive email notifications about the transfer. The subscription stays on the organisation - no billing changes are needed.
