Manage Your Account

Manage Your Account

Last updated Mar 10, 2026

Your account settings let you update your personal information, secure your account with two-factor authentication, manage notification preferences, and delete your account if needed.

Profile Settings

Navigate to Settings → Account in the dashboard. Here you can update:

  • Name - your display name shown across the dashboard.
  • Email address - your login email. Changing this requires email verification.
  • Password - update your password. You must enter your current password to confirm the change.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Protect your account with time-based one-time passwords (TOTP). To set up 2FA:

  1. Go to Settings → Account.
  2. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.).
  4. Enter the six-digit code from your app to confirm setup.
  5. Save your recovery codes in a secure location - these let you log in if you lose access to your authenticator.

Once enabled, you will be asked for a 2FA code on every login.

Tip: We strongly recommend enabling 2FA, especially if you manage multiple sites or have team members with access to your organisation.

Notification Preferences

Navigate to Settings → Notifications to control which emails you receive. You can toggle notifications for:

  • Scan completion notifications.
  • Trial ending reminders.
  • Billing and subscription updates.
  • Site transfer requests.

Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Account. Click Delete Account and enter your password to confirm.

When you delete your account:

  • All organisations you own (that have no other members) are deleted along with their sites and data.
  • Active Stripe subscriptions are cancelled immediately.
  • Your audit log entries are anonymised (GDPR Article 17 - right to erasure).
  • Organisations with other members cannot be deleted until you transfer ownership first.

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you transfer ownership of any organisations with active team members before deleting your account.
